Ingredients:

• 450–600 g Silesian sausage
• 2 large onions
• 1 whole head of garlic (cut in half crosswise)
• 4–5 garlic cloves (for the marinade)
• 3 tbsp oil (e.g. rapeseed oil)
• 1 tbsp mustard
• 1 tbsp honey
• 1 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tsp smoked paprika
• ½ tsp pepper
• optional: a pinch of chilli

Preparation:

1. In a bowl, mix the oil, mustard, honey, soy sauce, paprika, pepper and pressed garlic. Combine thoroughly until you get a thick, aromatic marinade.
2. Lightly score the sausage on the surface (this helps it absorb the marinade and brown nicely). Slice one onion into strips. Cut the head of garlic in half crosswise and drizzle with oil.
3. Add the sausage and onion to the marinade. Mix היט thoroughly so everything is evenly coated. Leave for at least 30 minutes (preferably 2–3 hours in the fridge).
4. Grill the sausage over medium heat for about 10–15 minutes, turning every few minutes.
   Grill the second onion (cut into smaller pieces) and the garlic halves alongside (preferably on aluminium trays or wrapped in foil) until the garlic is soft and lightly caramelised.
